We repair pitched asphalt-shingle roofs, and every job below starts with finding the cause.

A stain upstairs rarely sits under the hole. We trace the water to where it actually gets in – a pipe boot, flashing, a valley (the channel where two slopes meet) or a lifted shingle – before we price anything. Call when you first see the stain.

After a summer thunderstorm we replace lifted, creased or missing shingles and the ones a falling limb broke, then reseal the rows above so the edges lie flat again. Spot shingles on the lawn or a branch up there? Call us.

A pipe boot – the rubber collar around a plumbing vent or bath fan – cracks with age, and rain runs down the pipe to the ceiling below. We replace the boot and check the vent flashing. Stain near a bathroom? Call us.

Water slips in where the roof meets a chimney, a higher wall or a skylight. We reseal or replace the step flashing and counterflashing – the metal that seals those joints, not the brickwork. Stain beside a fireplace wall? Tell us when you call.

Hail hits Camden County in more than half of recent years, and bruised shingles are hard to spot from the yard. We photograph each slope, mark the adjuster's test squares and can pull a free storm-history report for your address. Gutters full of granules? Call us.

A stain after a freeze-and-thaw stretch, or frost and damp insulation under the roof, often comes down to how the attic breathes. We check the eaves, correct the ventilation behind it and look at the flashing nearby. See it after a cold snap? Call us.
Nearly nine in ten Cherry Hill homeowners live in a detached, single-family house, and about seven in ten of those houses went up between 1950 and 1979 – close to a third in the 1960s alone. So the roof on top usually isn't the first one. It's younger than the house, but plenty of them were put on 20 or more years ago, and that's the age when rubber pipe boots crack, flashing at the chimney and along walls works loose, and older shingles lose their seal.
Then there's the weather. Severe thunderstorm winds hit somewhere in Camden County on five or six days a year, mostly in June, July and August, and under the big trees here that means branches on roofs as well as lifted shingles. Hail comes through in more than half of recent years. Neither shows up well from the lawn.
That shapes the visit. We take pictures of all the slopes, check every vent, chimney and wall joint, and tell you how old the roof looks before we suggest anything. If a stain showed up after a storm, book the free inspection and ask for the storm-history report on your house.

A repair with us follows four steps.
We answer between 8 AM and 8 PM, seven days a week – tell us which ceiling has the stain.
Every slope gets photographed; we look closely at the vents and chimney, note how the flashing, shingles and ventilation are holding up, and check the attic and decking – usually in under an hour.
Itemized, with no obligation. The price only changes if hidden damage such as rotted decking turns up, and we tell you first.
Our own crews replace the damaged flashing, shingles or pipe boots. Before any patch, we make sure your shingles are still manufactured, so the new pieces match.
Five things you can check before anyone sets foot on your roof.

On a post-war Cherry Hill house, the stain often shows up a few feet from the hole. Water lands on the decking, runs along a board or down a vent pipe, and drips wherever it finds a low spot – which is why we trace it before patching anything over the mark.
| What you notice | What's usually wrong | What we do on the visit |
|---|---|---|
| A stain on an upstairs ceiling near a bathroom | A cracked pipe boot or loose vent flashing | Check the boot and the flashing at that vent, then replace what has failed |
| A stain near the chimney or a fireplace wall | Chimney flashing that has pulled away | Photograph the step flashing and counterflashing, then reseal or replace the metal |
| A stain where a lower roof meets a higher wall | Step flashing failing along that wall | Lift the shingles along the wall and check each flashing piece |
| Shingles on the lawn or driveway after a storm | Lifted or missing shingles | Replace the shingles and reseal the rows above them |
| A branch came down on the roof | Broken shingles, possibly damaged decking underneath | Photograph the spot, replace the shingles and check the decking below |
| Granules in the gutters after hail | Bruised shingles | Photograph the whole roof and mark test squares on each slope |
| Damp insulation or frost in the attic in winter | Attic ventilation out of balance | Check the soffit and ridge vents and the eaves |
If the damage shows up on several slopes, or the roof is more than 20 years old, look at the prices and the repair-or-replace rule below before you pay for a patch.
A small repair – a few shingles, a cracked pipe boot – usually runs $150 to $800. A larger section can run from a few hundred dollars to several thousand.
What moves the number is the type and size of the damage, the materials and the labor. A steep two-story slope takes more time and safety gear than a low one, so pitch and access show up in the price, and emergency or structural repairs cost more. The inspection itself is free, and so is the storm-history report. We'd rather you know the range before you call than get surprised at the kitchen table.
| Repair | Usually runs | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Free roof inspection | Free, no obligation | No charge, whatever we find |
| Small repair (a few shingles, a pipe boot) | $150–$800 | How much is damaged, the roof's pitch and how easy it is to reach |
| Larger section or flashing repair | A few hundred dollars to several thousand | The size of the area and what's under it |
| Hidden damage (rotted decking) | Priced only after we show you | Found when the shingles come off; we tell you before going further |
Financing is available for urgent repairs, with same-day approval in most cases; conditions apply. Whatever the job, the exact price goes into a written, itemized estimate before we start, and we go through every line with you.
Our rule of thumb: isolated damage on a roof under about 15 years old is usually worth repairing. Widespread granule loss, curling on several slopes or a roof past 20 years points us toward pricing a replacement – and if the honest answer is to wait, we say that too.
On a house built in the 1950s, '60s or '70s, the roof's age matters more than the house's. We tell you roughly what age the roof seems to be and how many layers we found. If there are two already, a new roof can't go over them; they come off first. A repair is still just a repair – we fix the damaged spot either way.
Before we patch, we check that your shingle line is still made, so the repair blends in. When a replacement does make sense, we install complete GAF roofing systems. Repairs can be financed.

Call (856) 412-8800 – we pick up every day, 8 AM–8 PM. Around here, summer thunderstorms bring most of the wind and branch damage.
Water through the ceiling. Move belongings aside and catch the drip in a bucket with towels around it. If the ceiling sags, keep everyone, pets included, out from under it.
Water near lights or outlets. Don't touch anything. Switch that circuit off at the breaker only if you can reach the panel without standing in water; if not, keep everyone away and call an electrician.
Stay off the roof. Keep clear of fallen limbs and well back from downed lines; call PSE&G or 911. Take your photos from the ground or indoors – we'll do the climbing.
Call Now – (856) 412-8800Our crews cover all of Cherry Hill – from Erlton and Kingston Estates to Woodcrest, Springdale and Barclay – and work across Camden County. We drive out from our office in Glendora, about 15 minutes away, and every address gets the same visit: the whole roof photographed, the attic checked and an itemized price before anything starts.
Five things worth knowing before you book.
Small fixes – a few shingles or a cracked pipe boot – typically cost $150–$800. A bigger section, or flashing along a chimney or wall, can run anywhere from a few hundred dollars up to several thousand. The inspection costs you nothing. Your exact number arrives itemized and in writing before anyone starts work.
A roof near 20 years is close to the line, so we look at both options and show you the photos behind our answer. Damage in one spot on a sound roof is often worth fixing; granule loss or curling across several slopes means it's time to talk about replacing. If it can wait, you'll hear that from us. On a 1960s house, it's how long this roof has been up that counts – we'll give you our read on it and count the layers. Before recommending a patch, we check the maker still produces your shingle.
For a detached house, no. New Jersey treats repairing or replacing the shingles on a detached one- or two-family home as ordinary maintenance, and there's no 25% rule for roof repairs. If we find rotted decking or anything structural, we tell you before work starts. On a townhouse or twin, we check what applies first.
Start with the state registration. Ours is NJ Home Improvement Contractor registration 13VH11654000, and you can look it up in the state's public contractor lookup. Any job over $500 should come with a written contract; ours begins with an itemized estimate. Ask us for proof of insurance – we carry general liability and workers' compensation – and check our BBB A+ rating.
Usually not without getting a camera close to the shingles – one that lost its seal or took a hail bruise looks fine from below. We photograph the roof slope by slope, mark the 10-by-10-foot test squares an adjuster counts hits in, and can pull your home's storm history at no charge. If it was storm damage, we document it for your adjuster; the claim stays yours.
Call (856) 412-8800 or send the form. We'll photograph the roof, show you what we found and hand you the price on paper before a single shingle comes off.
